The Bachelor of Business (Hons) with International Business add-on degree programme allows you to enhance your qualifications by topping up to a level 8 degree. The programme focuses on how organisations operate, what they perform, their styles of management and their business strategies.

The aim of this programme is to prepare you for work around the world or continue your academic career in international business and management.
A business degree is a great way to develop many of the transferable skills needed for working in a business environment. The overall objective of the programme is to provide you with in-depth knowledge and expertise in international business. It provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to manage and work in either local or multinational corporations, or more generally in the global context.
During this add-on business degree, you will develop a broad knowledge of business operations as well as gaining targeted skills in specific business fields, such as strategic management, international selling and markets, finance, operations, global strategy to name a few.
Whilst this cutting edge programme is an intensive one, it is designed to ensure that you are working to the required appropriate standard at honours degree level.

As a GBS student, you will benefit from a range of supports provided for learners:
The Bachelor of Business (Hons) with International Business is delivered in both a full-time (day) and part-time (evening) basis.
If you decide to study full-time, you will have classes over four days during the week, usually starting midday.
You will take part in case studies and group activities which foster a problem-based learning.
Exercises like online business simulations and new business planning projects will foster imaginative thinking among you and your classmates.
If you will study part-time, it will be over two evenings per week over two semesters. Workshops, tutorials, company visits and guest speakers will be introduced throughout the course to enrich the learning experience.
The Bachelor of Business (Honours) with International Business require all learners to have already completed an ordinary or pass degree, at level 7 of the National Framework of Qualifications.
It you do not hold a level 7 degree you cannot gain entry on to the Bachelor of Business (Hons) with International Business, but you might be interested in our Bachelor of Business ordinary degree, level 7.

Non-native speakers of English must have an English language level of IELTS 6.5+ or its equivalent for this degree programmes.
All international learners must complete a mandatory 4-week extensive Pre-Sessional Business English course prior to the beginning of all Galway Business School academic programmes. This programme will provide learners with an intense focus on Academic English in order to provide international learners will the analytical tools needed to study a full undergraduate course at Galway Business School.
This is a mandatory requirement and the course will take place in our language school Galway Cultural Institute.

Throughout the Bachelor of Business (Honours) with International Business degree programme we aim to assess students through a number of different mediums. You will be assessed through a combination of continuous assessment and examinations throughout the programme. These can take the form of:

- individual and group projects
- mock interviews
- presentations
This allows students to utilise their academic skills and capabilities to the maximum. It also supports the different learning styles of learners.
